Many writers have featured Ladine in various magazines as winner in 'Voice Of Asia" Song contest 2001 in Kazakhstan, a program watched by around 80 million viewers around the world, and for her numerous career milestone and hit albums. Yet the richness of her humanity has yet to be fully revealed.

Ladine is not just a successful singer. She is also above all, down-to-earth and a warm-hearted person, and the way she exudes her personality makes her more amazing. She happily talks about her childhood. " I enjoyed my childhood years very much, and even during those early days, I already loved singing". Her popularity as a singer started at a very young age of five, when she participated in almost all school and community events.

My being the eldest among four children made me a very responsible person and a decision maker" she says as a matter of fact. Ladine was born in Limay Bataan, and her full name is Geraldine Olazo Roxas.

By any standards, her background is impressive. "I obtained my Fine Arts degree at the College of the Holy Spirit in Manila, and and I never thought I would concentrate in singing as my career". Despite the glamour and glitter of the entertainment world, her refined ways still reflect the very well-bred colegiala in her.

Ladine is also a composer having composed four of her songs in collaboration with her Producer, Vehnee Saturno who is a multi-award winning songwriter and composer in the Philippines. Her other songs were written for her by Carl Dimataga of Australia and Stefano Musitano of Sweden.

"To improve and intensify my singing skills, I took formal voice lessons," she reveals. Doubtless this has contributed much to the success she is now savoring.

Ladine is only 22 years old, and like any other young woman, She is enjoying life to the fullest. She is full of vigor, warmth, and the glowing wholeness of youth. "I love dancing, entertaining and being with friends. I also love Chinese and Japanese food".

Her sense of style and humor is reflected in anecdotes of her performances in various countries. "I still remember an incident during one of my performances abroad. It was in the country where the weather was extremely cold, on an open stage with mountains in the background. And here I was-dressed in a glamorous evening gown, -shivering. Well, of course, I could not sing in this condition, so I had to put on a jacket. thought sans glamour and elegance of the gown, thankfully the songs came out beautifully rendered - the very thing that mattered most."

So far she had performed in several countries including: China (Beijing), Hong-Kong, Kazakhstan, Australia (Sydney, Melbourne), Canada (Toronto), USA (Virginia, Los Angeles), and Europe. In the United Kingdom, she has been enthusiastically applauded in concert after concert: London, Blackpool, Manchester; Followed by repeat invitations to Dublin, and Barcelona. She has also charmed and won audiences in Paris and Berlin.

International recognition continuous coming Ladine's way. As last years Grand Prize winner of the Voice Of Asia competition, she was invited in July to open and close this years contest, where she again gave the admiring audience a sample of her exciting voice, lyrical style and muy simpatica stage presence-oozing with warmth friendliness and sincerity, as she invites them to sing and share the sheer joy of music.

Ladine's earlier triumph in Kazakhstan, and her second visit as special guest-have undoubtedly put the countries name firmly in the consciousness of music loving people in that part of the world.

And Ladine, for all intents and purposes, has just begun.
