This set features a who's who of Los Angeles jazz under the co-leadership of two greats; Shorty Rogers and Bud Shank.

Most of the tunes are composed and arranged by the iconic Rogers, with outstanding solos by the two leaders as well as Conte Candoli (trumpet), Bill Perkins (baritone, tenor and soprano saxophones), Bob Cooper (tenor saxophone) and piano man Pete Jolly.
