Color Changes is considered by many to be one of the finest albums in trumpeter Clark Terry's long recording career.  A pioneer of the flugelhorn in jazz, these sessions were record by Candid A&R man and founder Nat Hentoff at the Nola Penthouse Studios November of 1960. 

Terry had a long association with Duke Ellington and also worked frequently with Johnny Hodges, Dizzie Gillespie, Quincy Jones, Milt Jackson and many more.

Here he employs an octet with arrangements by Yusef Lateef, Budd Johnson, and Al Cohn.
