Havernera trumpet star Omar Lopez Valle is following in the footsteps of his grandfather, Niko Vall Herrera -the renowned master trumpeter in the great Cuban tradition. Having left Cuba in 1994 to live in Europe, Omar is now based in London, enjoying a growing reputation on the Uk jazz scene.

Omar has played with some of the world's greatest Latin stars including Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Paquito D'rivera and Brazilian maestro Claudio Roditi.

This album was recorded in Rome and London and features many of Omar's scintillating compositions. There are significant contributions by all the artists involved including violinist virtuoso Ruben Chavian on 'Livia' and 'Homenaje,' the two horn men Antonio Germani and Steve Hamilton and pianists Nat Mangalavite and Terry Seabrook.
