Best known for his associations with pianist Ahmad Jamal and organist Jimmy Smith, this is one of only two recordings guitarist Ray Crawford made as a band leader.

Another ‘lost album’ from another unsung jazz great, these sessions took place in 1961, produced by Candid A&R man and founder Nat Hentoff, but went unreleased until 1988.
