Clark Terry

Whether he was playing trumpet or flugel-horn or singing one of his 'mumbles' vocals, Clark Terry possessed one of the most distinctive sounds in jazz.  

Terry had a long association with Duke Ellington and also worked frequently with Johnny Hodges, Dizzie Gillespie, Quincy Jones, Milt Jackson and many more. He first recording for Candid Records was the Nat Hentoff produced Color Changes in 1960.  This set was recorded live at Birdland in New York City, June of 1993.
