After the release of her widely acclaimed 'Orsino's Songs,' Teal gained an extensive and distinguished following and caught the attention of radio presenters, magazines and newspapers alike. Radio 4 presenter Humphrey Lyttleton called her "a true great, both as a singer and a songwriter." On this album, Clare is again complimented by her band, who are, as Callum Jones said, "a group of top players who know exactly what they are doing." Clare is also joined by two special guests: Jamie Cullum, with whom she shares a record label and a groovy self-penned duet entitled "A Road Less Travelled", and Melvin Duffy, who contributes pedal steel guitar to another, more pensive original called "So Blue".
